Social Media & Digital Content
Keeping the Community Engaged
In ESN, I had to propose dynamic content on Facebook and find ways to keep it active, even when there were no events happening. In fact, ESN is mainly for Erasmus students during the year, and during summer, there is less to propose. But it is still good to keep future students updated, to show that the association is active and push them to ask questions if needed. It is also important to consider that some Erasmus students might be there during summer, so it was necessary to maintain communication even a more relaxed one.

Some campaigns have specific needs. As an association, ESN needs a permanent staff renewal since every year is different. It is really important to be visible on campus as well as online and to keep people informed that we are recruiting. After asking different departments to inform students via email and participating in different campus events, we had to propose a recruitment campaign in September to attract new staff.

Sometimes, creating visuals is not just for an event but also to provide content that is easy to send by email or publish online. The goal is to have something that is both visually appealing and clear to understand.

Sharing Important Information
Being informed is really important. COVID-19 was a big crisis, and some of the French government’s information was not always updated. We had to translate content for Erasmus students to help and support them during this difficult time. We also proposed online activities to help them feel less alone.
Event Reminders

We maintained a consistent communication strategy across different platforms, but sometimes, people need reminders about upcoming events. Our planning was based on audience engagement statistics, ensuring that Instagram stories and posts were published at the most effective times to reach as many people as possible.
